Hi! My name is Daniel. I am a father, husband, amateur (very) woodworker, a lover of arts, and owner of a wondering brain. I began my occupational therapy journey to learn about the mind, which led to being exposed to the wonderful minds of children. I believe in occupational therapy because at its very heart, it seeks to find and protect what matters to someone. It uses play, my favorite occupation, to communicate and connect. I aspire to ensure every child is given the same opportunity and experience as any other child. Nobody knows your child better than you and with that knowledge, I want to create a team-based approach to ensure your child succeeds.
My journey began in public health where I learned about the love, promotion, and protection of life. I earned my doctorate in occupational therapy, learning about the importance of promoting doing, being, and becoming. I then specialized in Sensory Integration at the University of Southern California, learning about how children organize sensations from their surroundings into their daily life. As a small business owner and clinical, I am blessed to spend time learning about new techniques and research to help kids thrive.
A child's home is such a powerful place, it's a source of comfort, relaxation, growth, and more. In my years working as an outpatient occupational therapist, I noticed a challenge in transferring learned skills from the clinic to the home. My therapy service will use this natural environment as a resource to empower children and their parents to maximize potential.
